What we do, in detail

Seven practice areas that overlap on purpose. Most clients start with one and pull us into the next once they see how we work.

01 — Cloud & Infrastructure

Get to the cloud, then stop overpaying for it

Migration is the easy half. The hard half is what happens six months later, when the bill has doubled and no one can point at which workload did it.

We handle both: a migration you can defend architecturally, and the cost discipline that keeps it affordable. Everything is provisioned as code, so your environment can be rebuilt from a repository rather than from memory.

Included in this practice

  • Assessment & roadmap — current-state review, target architecture, sequenced plan
  • Migration — lift-and-shift, re-platform or re-architect, whichever the workload deserves
  • Landing zones — accounts, networking, tagging and guardrails set up once, properly
  • Infrastructure as code — Terraform modules and pipelines you own
  • FinOps — right-sizing, commitment planning, per-team cost visibility
  • Resilience — backup, disaster recovery and tested restore procedures

Platforms: AWS · Microsoft Azure · Google Cloud · Kubernetes · Terraform

Included in this practice

  • Data platform — ingestion, warehousing, modelling and quality checks
  • Reporting — dashboards built around decisions, not vanity metrics
  • Internal AI assistants — retrieval over your own documents, with access controls intact
  • Document automation — extraction and routing for invoices, forms, contracts, claims
  • Support triage — classification and drafting that shortens queues without hiding humans
  • Evaluation — measured accuracy before rollout, monitored after

Platforms: Snowflake · BigQuery · dbt · Airflow · Power BI · Claude & other LLM APIs

02 — AI & Data Engineering

AI that earns its budget line

The failure mode of enterprise AI is a convincing demo that never reaches production. It usually fails on data quality, access control or an accuracy bar nobody agreed in advance.

So we start at the boring end: get the data clean, get permissions right, define what “good enough” means numerically, and only then build. If a use case can’t clear that bar, we’ll recommend not building it.

03 — Application Development

Build what you can’t buy. Buy the rest.

Custom software is the right answer far less often than software firms suggest. When it genuinely is — because the process is your competitive edge, or nothing on the market fits — we build it properly.

Equally often the job is untangling something that already exists: an application written by someone who left, a spreadsheet running payroll, an integration held together by a scheduled task on someone’s desktop.

Included in this practice

  • Web & internal applications — line-of-business tools, portals, workflow systems
  • Legacy modernization — incremental replacement, not a risky big-bang rewrite
  • Integration — APIs and connectors between systems that were never meant to talk
  • Automation — replacing the manual steps everyone has quietly accepted
  • Engineering practice — CI/CD, automated testing, code review, release process
  • Handover — repository, documentation and a walkthrough with your team

Stacks: TypeScript/Node · React · Python · .NET · PostgreSQL · Docker

Included in this practice

  • Security assessment — prioritised findings with effort and impact, not a 200-page scan dump
  • Identity & access — SSO, MFA, least-privilege roles, joiner/mover/leaver process
  • Endpoint & email security — hardening, phishing defence, device compliance
  • Compliance readiness — SOC 2, HIPAA and client security questionnaires
  • Policy & evidence — written policies and the artefacts auditors ask for
  • Incident response — a plan, contact tree and tabletop exercise before you need one

We do defensive security and compliance readiness. We are not a penetration-testing firm and will refer you to one where that’s what you need.

04 — Cybersecurity & Compliance

Security you can evidence, not just claim

For most growing companies the trigger is external: an enterprise client sends a security questionnaire, or an insurer asks about MFA coverage, and suddenly the gaps have a deadline attached.

We work that problem in the order risk actually runs — identity first, then endpoints and email, then data handling — and we produce the written evidence alongside the fixes, because a control you can’t demonstrate won’t pass an audit.

05 — Managed IT & Support

Give your team their afternoons back

In most companies under 200 people, IT is whoever is best at it — usually an operations manager or a developer losing several hours a week to laptops, logins and printers.

We take that over on a flat monthly rate with response times written into the agreement, and we report monthly on what came in, what was fixed, and what keeps recurring so it can be eliminated rather than re-ticketed.

Included in this practice

  • Help desk — email and portal intake with agreed response targets
  • Endpoint management — provisioning, patching, encryption, remote wipe
  • Identity & workspace admin — Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, day to day
  • Onboarding & offboarding — accounts and hardware handled on a checklist, not from memory
  • Monitoring & alerting — proactive checks on the systems that matter
  • Vendor liaison — we hold the phone queue with your ISP and software vendors

Flat monthly pricing per user or per device. No per-ticket charges.

Included in this practice

  • Contract & contract-to-hire — engineers placed for a defined period or a path to permanent
  • Technical vetting — screened by engineers who do the work, not keyword matching
  • Role coverage — cloud, DevOps, data, security, full-stack, QA and IT support
  • Dedicated squads — a small managed team for a fixed engagement
  • Compliance handled — background checks, right-to-work verification, insurance, payroll
  • Replacement guarantee — if a placement isn’t working in the first 30 days, we replace them

Candidates: see careers or email hr@intelliaiitservices.com.

06 — Technology Staffing

Three good candidates, not thirty résumés

Volume staffing wastes your team’s time by design — the agency is optimising for one placement out of many submissions, and the filtering cost lands on you.

We shortlist narrowly and technically. Every candidate we send has been screened by someone who could do the job themselves, and we’ll tell you the weaknesses along with the strengths.

07 — Database Administration

Your data layer, professionally looked after

Databases are the one part of the stack where nobody notices good work and everybody notices bad work. The failure is rarely dramatic: it’s a query plan that degraded over eighteen months, a backup nobody ever tried to restore, or a warehouse credit bill that grew faster than the business did.

We run production databases across both worlds — traditional OLTP on SQL Server and PostgreSQL, and cloud analytics on Snowflake, Redshift and BigQuery. Same discipline either way: measured before and after, restores actually tested, and changes made in a window you agreed.

Included in this practice

  • Performance tuning — query, index and execution-plan work, with before/after numbers
  • Backup & recovery — a restore strategy tested against a real RTO and RPO, not assumed
  • High availability — Always On availability groups, replication, failover clustering, read replicas
  • Upgrades & migrations — version upgrades, on-prem to cloud, and cross-platform moves
  • Warehouse cost control — right-sized compute, auto-suspend, partitioning and clustering that actually reduce scanned bytes
  • Security & access — role design, encryption at rest and in transit, auditing, masking of sensitive columns
  • Monitoring — capacity, blocking, long-running queries and job failures, alerting before users notice
  • Health checks — a one-off assessment if you just want to know where you stand

Platforms: Microsoft SQL Server · PostgreSQL · Snowflake · Amazon Redshift · Google BigQuery

Engagement models

Four ways to work with us

Pick the one that matches the certainty of the problem. We’ll tell you if you’ve picked wrong.

Fixed fee

Assessment

One to three weeks. We review what you have and deliver a written findings-and-roadmap document. Ends cleanly — no obligation to continue.

Fixed price

Project

Defined scope, defined deliverables, defined price. Change requests are quoted separately so the number you approved stays the number.

Monthly

Managed service

Ongoing support or platform ownership on a flat monthly rate, with response times and a monthly report. 30 days’ notice either way.

Hourly / monthly

Staff augmentation

Our engineers embedded in your team, under your direction, for an agreed period. Weekly or monthly billing against timesheets you approve.

Pricing is quoted per engagement. Ask on the first call and we’ll give you a range before any proposal.

Not sure which of these you need?

That’s a normal place to start. Describe the symptom and we’ll help you name the problem.
